Although this is an attached apartment, we strive to supply you with all the privacy and space you need. Fern Haevyn has 3 outdoor spaces (screened-in patio, outdoor firepit area, and back deck with grill and hot tub) that are all private and completely yours! The only outdoor space that is shared is our large parking area, where you and your guests will have access to 3 parking spaces and bike/kayak storage.

Cell Service: Visiting the mountains does not come with all the perks of city life. Cell phone service is very poor in our area for some providers and better on others. We have installed cell phone boosters, or feel free to use WiFi calling.
Landline Phone: The phone number to the house is 828 542 0169 and the phone is located on the bar area near the kitchen. Feel free to use it for local or long distance, especially if cell service is poor.
Bike and Kayak Storage: Bike storage will be directly across from the door at the end of the stairs on the bottom floor, near the garage, underneath the outdoor stairs for smaller items and storage racks are provided for larger items, like kayaks or canoes on the outside of the storage area. To use the storage racks, just pull up and out on the arms.
TV Information: The TV will have paid services YouTube TV and Amazon Prime already loaded. There are multiple free options as well. If you want to log into another service, we only ask that you log out prior to leaving.
Cleaning Supplies and Extra Toiletries: Located in the kitchen pantry on the bottom shelf and underneath the sink.
Safety: Smoke and carbon detectors located throughout the house. Fire extinguishers located underneath the sink and near the fire pit. First air kit located in the kitchen pantry. Per our HOA rules, we must ask that there is no excessive noise outdoors between the hours of 11:00 pm and 6:00 AM.

Hot Tub:
The hot tub temperature is set to 95° F and the cover is kept on when not in use. Prior to use we would suggest that you adjust the temperature to your comfort at least one hour prior. For most adults, the comfort range is between 100°F and 103°F, and the comfort range for most children is between 85°F and 95°F. *Please note, The American Academy of Pediatrics strongly recommend that children five years and younger do not use a hot tub as they are not able to regulate their internal body temperature as well as adults*
The hot tub is shocked in-between guest visits and cleaned thoroughly. Chemical maintenance and/or minor cleaning may be required during your visit. We will communicate with you prior to performing any services to the hot tub to ensure minimal disruption.
Hot tub rules are posted near the hot tub on the wooden partition.
Grill:
The grill is provided for your convenience and grill tools are located in the kitchen pantry. Please exercise caution when using the grill.
Fire Pit:
The fire pit, on the deck near the shed, is also for your convenience. This is a wood burning fire pit. Wood will be provided and replaced as needed. We have also provided starter bricks to make starting a fire easier. Please do not use gasoline, lighter fluid, or any other accelerants for the fire pit.
