While searching for a place to spend our anniversary our primary criteria was that it was near a trailhead (check!), had a great deck and/or outdoor sitting area (check!), and had a hot tub (check!). When we travel we tend to spend most of the day out on the trails and as such really enjoy the quiet, peace, and serenity of a home in the woods. Scott & Jennifer’s home knocks it out of the proverbial park when it comes to everything we love. Their home is well-appointed with all the things you may have forgotten and is easily the most well stocked kitchen we’ve ever experienced in an AirBnB. Over the course of the week we cooked breakfast every morning, made several lunches and dinners and not once did we wish for a pot, utensil, or gadget that wasn’t available. The hot tub was glorious after long days running and biking the trails of DuPont and Pisgah, and the fireplace added a special bit of magic each morning as we sipped our coffee and tea. Top it off with the wonderful screened deck to enjoy our meals on and we can’t think of anything we’d change. Next time we visit this area, Scott & Jennifer’s place will be right at the top of our list.

This was our first time stay at an Airbnb and it was a great experience. The house was amazing everything was very clean and welcoming. I love all the special personal touches. I absolutely loved the screen in porch. If we are ever in the area again, I would definitely stay and recommend to friends.

Our family of 5 stayed the very last week of 2022 and rang in the new year at Scott & Jennifer’s. We are so happy with our choice to stay at their beautiful place amongst the trees. From the very beginning with booking to end of our stay, we felt very happy with communication, value and the property being as described. Once we arrived there were touches throughout the property that left us feeling very welcome and informed on how to navigate all aspects of the property.
If you’re considering this place to stay we’d say “DO IT”! We even reviewed how we felt about sharing 1 bathroom with so many people and we all agreed it was never a struggle.
And… if you’ve ever stayed in the mountains you’ll really appreciate this nice gradual climb up to property with a nice, well-lit, FLAT driveway. I guess that matters to us since we aren’t use to steep hills for parking. This was just another nice thing to mention. We can’t wait to make our way back. Thank you!

If it is available then book it ASAP! You will really enjoy your stay. Jennifer and Scott are excellent hosts. The unit is private from their residence. We especially enjoyed the screened front porch and hot tub on the rear deck. We did not get a chance to use the available fire pit or 2 BBQ grills. The kitchen has all you need and more for your stay. Just a wonderful spot in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and close to DuPont State Forest and 30 minutes to Pisgah National Forest- Blue Ridge Parkway. Shout out to local favs: Cedar Mtn Moonshine with live music Fri nights (during summer months) with tastings, moonshine slushies I was told), The Canteen, The Outpost. Pretty Place Chapel and Caesars Head State Park all close by. On Sundays, the open air Faith Chapel is minutes away Ck summer schedule). You are surrounded by beautiful, mature trees in a restful place.

The stay was just as great as we expected. Very secluded ,a lot of space ,super clean , and fully stocked with just about everything you would need. The hosts definitely went the extra mile to make sure we had the best stay possible. Even though it is advertised as an apartment it had the feel of a house. Privacy was never an issue either. If you're looking for a nice place to rest after a long day enjoying all this beautiful area has to offer this is the place for you! 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

Wow - such a fantastic place and ideal location for exploring Brevard, Hendersonville, Dupont Forest, Ceasars Head and more. Scott and Jennifer are exceptional hosts - you felt welcomed at this location - and they are great communicators - just really a delight. The place was super clean and has everything you need. Loved all the nice towels and they are so thoughtful to have some emergency food supplies in case you can't get to the store or forgot something - that was awesome! We highly recommend this place - a very beautiful location - so peaceful and serene. Thank you for hosting!

Fern Haevyn is everything you think it will be and more! The hosts have thought of everything and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The property is beautiful, with an incredible screened in porch and private hot tub. The gas fireplace makes the living room feel nice and cozy. The rooms are spacious and everything is well stocked and immaculate. We will be back!

Wow! What a stunning mountain retreat! Not only is this location so exclusive and secluded, but the attention to every detail within the home makes for a supreme oasis. Located atop a mountain side, this breathtaking property is a great place to stay. Owners do live in “attached” house, HOWEVER it is completely separated and we had 100% privacy! Jennifer’s presentation was so thoughtful, we were greeted with a stuffed gift basket full of goodies, hand picked mountain apples, and personal notes! I’m giving them 5 stars and would definitely stay again!

What a great stay we had and I've never encountered such wonderful hosts before and I've stayed at a lot of Airbnb's previously! I mean really helpful and responsive! Their place was incredibly inviting and extremely peaceful. It really left us feeling at home from the thoughtful basket to the local suggestions as well as the amenities. I really can't say enough good things about the hosts and we look forward to coming back again, amazing people! 🙂

Jennifer and Scott are fantastic hosts - super fast communicators. Their place is in the ideal location for close access to Dupont Forest with lots of hiking and biking as well as easy access to interesting nearby towns including Asheville, Brevard, Flat Rock and Hendersonville. Super clean and the well supplied kitchen. It is a beautiful quiet spot to enjoy nature. This is our second time staying here and we like it even more!!

Plenty of room for a group getaway! We went to go see the Pretty Place Chapel and it was only about 20 minutes away. Its about an hour away from Greenville which has lots to do. I got engaged at this airbnb so it will forever mean so much to me! 🩷
