GPS note: Google Maps, and Waze works relatively well to navigate to Fern Haevyn, except when coming from Hendersonville/Charlotte area. It may try to take you onto Green River Rd. Green River Rd is an unpaved, rough, one lane road and is not designed for traditional motor vehicular traffic. It is mostly used for ATVs, sports bikes, etc. If using a GPS use the final destination address point of "Holmes Educational State Forest." Once you get onto "Kanuga Rd/Crabcreek Rd" you can redirect your GPS for "154 Chestnut Lane, Cedar Mountain, NC."

From Greensboro/Raleigh:

Take I-40 W, take exit 46A on the left to merge onto I-26 E toward US-74 E/Hendersonville/Spartanburg. Go 9.3 miles. Take exit 40 toward NC-280 W/Airport Rd. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for WNC Agriculture Ctr/Airport and merge onto NC-280 W/Airport Rd. Go 7 miles and turn left onto Ray Hill Rd. Go 3.3 miles and turn right onto Brickyard Rd at the T intersection. Go 0.3 miles and turn left onto N Greenwood Forest Dr. Turn right onto US-64 W/Brevard Rd. Go 3.8 miles and turn left onto Crab Creek Rd. Go 4.3 miles and turn right on DuPont Rd. Go 5.5 miles (DuPont Rd becomes Staton Rd) and turn left onto Cascade Lake Rd. Go 2.4 miles and turn left on Reasonover Rd. Go 1.9 miles and turn right on Spanish Oak Dr (there will be a neighborhood sign for "Idlewild"). Stay to the left at the split (it is a one way road). After the switchback stay to the left again. Go 0.2 miles and turn left onto Chestnut Dr. Turn right at the Fern Haevyn sign.

From Hendersonville:

From either I-26 E or I-26 W, take exit 49B onto 4 Seasons Blvd and go 2.3 miles. Turn left onto S Church St and go for 0.5 miles. Turn right on Kanuga Rd (will eventually become Crab Creek Rd), and go for 11 miles and turn left onto DuPont Rd. Go 5.5 miles (DuPont Rd becomes Staton Rd) and turn left onto Cascade Lake Rd. Go 2.4 miles and turn left on Reasonover Rd. Go 1.9 miles and turn right on Spanish Oak Dr (there will be a neighborhood sign for "Idlewild"). Stay to the left at the split (it is a one way road). After the switchback stay to the left again. Go 0.2 miles and turn left onto Chestnut Dr. Turn right at the Fern Haevyn sign.

From Charlotte:

Take I-85 S toward Gastonia and take exit 10 B onto US-74 W. Go 55 miles and take exit 161 onto I-26 W. Go 13 miles and take exit 53 and turn left on Upward Rd. Go 1.4 miles and turn right 176 W (Spartanburg Hwy). Go 0.7 miles and turn left on Shepard St. Go 0.7 miles and at the traffic continue straight onto Erkwood Dr. Go 1.4 miles and turn left onto Kanuga Rd (will eventually become Crab Creek Rd), and go for 10 miles and turn left onto DuPont Rd. Go 5.5 miles (DuPont Rd becomes Staton Rd) and turn left onto Cascade Lake Rd. Go 2.4 miles and turn left on Reasonover Rd. Go 1.9 miles and turn right on Spanish Oak Dr (there will be a neighborhood sign for "Idlewild"). Stay to the left at the split (it is a one way road). After the switchback stay to the left again. Go 0.2 miles and turn left onto Chestnut Dr. Turn right at the Fern Haevyn sign.

From South Carolina:

Take 276 N from Greenville, SC for 34.7 miles. Turn right onto Cascade Lake Rd (Cedar Mountain Fire Rescue will be on the right). Take immediate right after fire department onto Reasonover Rd. Go 1.9 miles and turn right on Spanish Oak Dr (there will be a neighborhood sign for "Idlewild"). Stay to the left at the split (it is a one way road). After the switchback stay to the left again. Go 0.2 miles and turn left onto Chestnut Dr. Turn right at the Fern Haevyn sign.

From Tennessee:
